Barog Diaries has 3 well appointed, spacious and airy bedrooms and with wash rooms fitted with water heater. The Sitting area is furnished is cozy and heated with a well appointed fireplace and luxurious deodar and pine wood furniture . Barog Diaries has its own parking space and we can also arrange pickup and drop facilities.

By Road:

Barog is well connected by road network. Guests coming from Delhi can take NH44 to reach Chandigarh and then from there Barog is approximately 67 KMs. We are on google maps and guests can easily search us and navigate.

297 km, a journey of around 6-7 hours from Delhi till village Chewa.

By Air: Chandigarh Airport is the nearest airport to Barog. Regular domestic flight service is available to Chandigarh from all important Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Amritsar, Chennai, Srinagar and Kolkata. The airport is around 80 km away from Barog. Taxis from outside the airport can be easily availed at a nominal price to reach Barog.

By Train: Barog does not have a railway station of its own. The nearest and one of the most important railway stations of North India is Kalka which is located around 50 km away from Barog, Kalka connects Barog by a good number of trains from cities like Amritsar, Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Mumbai. Local taxis can be availed from outside Kalka station to reach Barog.

By Bus: The nearest bus stand is Barog. Located around 4 km away from Barog Diaries, A local taxi can be arranged to reach the property.

Transfers: We can offer pick and drop service from the airport, railway station or bus stand. Please contact our Property Manager @ +91-9710025444.

Detailed Directions: Please ensure prior to departure that you have made arrangements with Barog Diaries to meet you at agreed designated points (below). Guests are requested to again fine-tune your arrival time once you reach Barog.

Our Welcome Team will meet you at the appointed Meeting Point and escort you to the retreat. Though we have a team of porters to carry your luggage, may we request you to pack lightly for the duration of your visit with us.

There are three approaches to the cottage.

Option #1 – There is a Dirt track/ unmetalled road till the property; any car can come if you have a hill driving experience (Please coordinate before arrival)

Option#2 –You can park your car and take a 20 minute even walk from a nearby village Chewa. We can arrange porters for the luggage. Our Welcome Team will meet you at the appointed Meeting Point and escort you to the retreat.

Option#3– In case you don’t want to drive or walk, we can get your car parked at the paid parking slot and can arrange a pick n drop facility.

Parking: Cars may be parked in the nearby village of Chewa.

GENERAL POLICIES

• All rates are subject to change without notice.
• Rooms are booked and confirmed upon receipt of 50% advance deposit
• Check-in 2:00pm /Check-out time 12 Noon.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• If intimation is received 30 days or more before the arrival of the guest, we will refund 80% of the advance payment redeemed.
• In case request for cancellation of reservation is received between 29 and 15 days before the date of arrival of the guest only 50% of the advance received will be refunded.
• Any cancellation request received less than 15 days prior to guest arrival there will be NO refund of the advance received.
• No shows will be treated as 100% cancellation – no refund.
• In case of premature departure, due to last-minute changes, 50% of the advance paid for the days not availed will be forfeited.
• During the peak season dates as mentioned below; Any change/rescheduling is treated as a cancellation, however if we are able to sell the space to another guest, we will use the advance sent as an advance for the rescheduled dates.
• In case of any natural calamities we cannot be held responsible and cancellation policy will prevail.
• If booking deposit received is less than 50% of the total package cost, the full amount deposited will be forfeited in case of any cancellation.
• Cancellations refund of Credit card and online payments will be charged 5% extra. It takes about 15 days to process such refunds.
• In the event of part cancellation of the reservation (i.e. reduction in duration or number of rooms), the above cancellation policy will apply on a pro-rata basis.

* Vacation Diaries Covid19 Policy: In case of Government advisory changing and we are unable to take guests on arrival due to Covid 19 rules of the departing state of the guest or the rules of the state where the hotel is situated, the booking amount will be adjusted as a “Hotel Credit” which can be used for any future booking dates (subject to availability) for a period on 6 months from the date of the original check in date.

PAYMENT TERMS

50% of the total bill will be in advance and balance will settled by or before the time of check-out.
Any payments received by credit card will be charged a 2% surcharge.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation Policy:  In case of cancellation, out of the total tariff of the entire period booked:

Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation of a booking made of a Non Refundable Rate amount, the total tariff is to be paid in advance at the time of confirming the booking and is non-refundable.

Note: Any “Hotel Credit” will be adjusted against the rates applicable on the revised date of travel and for the Vacation Diaries Property selected.
